Commitment

Commitment

Reflecting back on this year, I have so much to be grateful for. Much of it has to do with one word: Commitment. These are my lessons, experiences, and the fulfilling sense of reward that have come with…commitment.

Be committed to relationships.

I have two dear friends, both named Nancy, who have been dealing with the big C. Both are making great strides to being whole, perfect, and complete. Disease is always a wake-up call to not take life or friends for granted, and to reach out to everyone you love on a regular basis to tell them so.

Be committed to learning.

I have surprised myself in my commitment to studying Egyptian Mysticism through A Course in Miracles on a daily basis for the past year.

Dottie Davis and I read and discussed the lesson for the day together each morning. Every Monday night, I have a call with others from all over the US on Zoom who are also studying the course with Dr. Carolyne Fuqua and the Circles of Light Ministry. It has rocked my world, and I feel for the first time in my life that I am on a Spiritual path. I am recommitting to doing the course again daily for 2018.

Be committed to the work.

I did two weekend retreats with the group in May and November. In September, I went on an eye-opening trip to Egypt with them that deepened my commitment to this work even more.

Be committed to your goals.

Jade and I hired a business coach who is helping us set goals on a weekly basis.

Having an accountability coach who is keeping us focused on our vision and our goals is really having an impact on the both of us. We are both committed to taking Sacred Grove to the next level, and we are both excited about what lies ahead.

Here’s to each and every one of you having the best year yet. May it be one of fulfilling commitments.
